Huajuapan de León is located in the state of Oaxaca about 100 miles (160 km) northwest of the capital city of Oaxaca. With a population of about 45,000 people it is the largest city in the area. Universidad Tecnológica de la Mixteca (UTM) is located in Huajuapan de León and has provided much help maintaining computer labs and training at the schools.

Beginning in 2009, Kids on Computers® has established computer labs in four schools within the city of Huajuapan de León . Three of the schools are still actively using computers which we provided.
