This week in KoC – New lab approved for Oaxaca, Mexico

It is exciting to let you know that the KoC board has voted and approved to set up a new lab at Secundaria Técnica 243, this year!

You can see the results here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/results/SM-GJWYSH3F/

This is a middle school located in Acatlima, Huajuapan de León, Oaxaca, México.  Something important to note is that this school is a ~10 minute walk from Universidad Tecnológica de la Mixteca (UTM), which is the best higher education institution in Oaxaca state.  We are currently closely working with people from UTM trying to unify efforts to improve the education in Oaxaca, and this will be a great benefit for this community.

The computer lab is currently under construction and it is estimated to be completed in March.

KoC visited this school last year. Here are some photos of our visit:

We are excited to work with such a deserving community.  We are currently raising funds for this new lab.  Please help us make it a reality by donating here.  Every little bit helps!

We are planing a trip in November. You are welcome to join us.  Send us an email (kidsoncomputers@kidsoncomputers.org) if you want to participate. 🙂
